2008 Toronto Radiation Medicine Conference:
Global Perspectives, Local Outcomes
Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 2008
We are pleased to present our milestone 5th annual conference that emphasizes the importance of interprofessional collaboration in these times of rapidly advancing technology, treatments and supportive care requirements. As in previous years we will be providing a good blend of topics in plenary, workshop and poster sessions.
Our conference theme focuses on the value of learning from national and international best evidence, technologies and practices to improve patient outcomes.
The interactive program includes a keynote speaker on both Saturday and Sunday, followed by plenary sessions with afternoon concurrent workshops and oral abstract presentations. Posters will be displayed throughout the conference with a formal presentation at a wine and cheese event on Saturday evening. This exciting program will interest radiation therapists, radiation oncology nurses, medical physicists, radiation oncologists and other oncology health professionals providing a forum to share research and network.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the Fall 2008 edition of the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences (Elsevier). There will be prizes awarded for best overall poster and best overall podium presentation.
